Board Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the Canby Utility Office located at 1265 SE 3rd Avenue, Canby, OR 97013. View directions to office.
All Board Meetings are open to the public and may be attended virtually.
Meeting schedules are subject to change, and when this occurs, meeting notices will be posted. If you are planning to attend a scheduled meeting, please be sure to check here for any changes in meeting dates or times. Schedule changes are also posted on the City of Canby’s website or in City Hall and at the Canby Post Office.
In accordance with Oregon law, Canby Utility will make meetings accessible to the public virtually upon request. Please contact the Board Secretary-Clerk to request virtual access to the meeting.
Notices are posted for events such as meeting cancellations, rescheduled meetings, quorum notices, and emergency meetings. Some notices may also be posted on the website homepage.
2024 Board Meeting Schedule
Canby Utility holds regular Board Meetings in the Administration Office Conference Room, located at 1265 SE 3rd Avenue, Canby, Oregon, on the second Tuesday of the month. The Board reserves the fourth Tuesday of the month to schedule special meetings as needed. The meetings are called to order at 7:00 p.m. The Board may go into Executive Session according to ORS 192.660 to discuss such matters as confidential attorney correspondence, personnel matters, real property, potential litigation, and trade negotiations during scheduled meetings. Notices of cancellations, postponements, and special meetings are posted on our website, City of Canby’s website, and at the Canby Post Office. Board agenda and packet materials are posted on our Agendas & Minutes page.
A typical Board Meeting starts with a public session that includes:
- Consent Agenda
- Payment of Bills
- Policy Discussions
- Approval of Major Purchases
- Policy Actions
The Board accepts citizen input on non-agenda items during the public session during a regularly scheduled board meeting.

Meeting notices are also posted at the Canby Utility office, City of Canby’s website, and the Post Office with changes to the schedule throughout the year.
