Canby Utility welcomes Jack Pendleton to the Canby Utility Board.
Jack is a retired Professional Engineer with a background in telecommunications engineering, operations, finance, regulation, and business planning. He has served as Chief Engineer, Network Manager, and Revenue Planning Director for several telephone operating companies. He also owned his own engineering firm, then later served as a consultant focusing mainly on new service and business planning for telecoms, CATV, and data networks. During the dot. com era, he was active in 2 start-up companies in an engineering and business planning capacity.
Jack has lived in Canby for over 35 years and has served on various city committees, including Budget, Traffic Safety, and Bike and Pedestrian. He was one of the initial members of the Canby Emergency Response Team. He also coached youth soccer and baseball, and served as mentor to the Canby High School robotics team for several years. He remains active in the Oregon youth robotics program as a tournament referee and judge. He currently volunteers one day a week with Oregon Food Bank.
