Customers in the Canby area are being targeted again by telephone scammers. In one scam, the caller requests payment over the phone, usually by a prepaid card, and threatens that if payment is not made, services will be disconnected. Canby Utility will not call and request payment with a pre-paid card; however, we may contact you about your account. In another scam, solar power companies claim to be working with Canby Utility canvassing our neighborhoods. These scammers are very convincing at deceiving people and have targeted areas across the U.S.
