John comes to the Canby Utility Board with a wealth of knowledge he has gained from his work in the telecommunications industry. He has served as Vice President/Operations for three telecommunications companies and has a strong commitment to quality and excellence. He is a Certified Project Management Professional and has also served as Senior Project Manager for Providence and Services for Oregon, Washington, California, Alaska, and Montana.
He believes strongly in supporting the Canby community, where he and his wife, Virginia, have lived for the past 25 years. John was a volunteer with the Canby Community Emergency Response Team where he was a team leader, served on the training team, and became an EMT. He also served for five years on the Canby Planning Commission. John and Virginia, who also served on the Canby Utility Board for two terms, have two grown sons and six grandchildren— the oldest of which will graduate from St. Martin’s University this year with a degree in Civil Engineering.
